Brenda's Art in Nature Adventure
BRINGING THE MAGIC OF CHILDREN AND NATURE TOGETHER

Welcome to my Childern's Art in Nature Adventure Classes. Getting children excited and curious about the natural world is what my nature classes are all about. When children and nature mix, something magical happens. I believe if we inspire a love for nature in a child, it will lead to a desire to protect it.

Children need to go outside for both learning and play. Time outdoors helps children to develop a sense of spirit, independence and confidence. The nature based art activities that I teach are fun, engaging and easy to do and awaken children’s’ senses, minds and hearts.

Children will explore science and nature through age-appropriate games, crafts, stories, and other seasonal experiments and activities.

There are so many benefits of time spent in nature in order for us to be healthy, well balanced beings. We need to share with our children and spend time in nature. We are nature, there is no separation. The more disconnected we are from nature, the more lost and ill we become. Nature is our teacher and healer, our life force. When we take time to listen deeply with our hearts, with kindness and curiosity, we are able to allow Mother Nature to heal us.

"When I kick off my shoes and my feet feel the grass or the sand of the ocean, I feel I have returned home, a place I feel safe and loved. When our hearts are fully open, we can feel that deep connection with Mother Earth. Without nature we are nothing."

Classes are conducted outdoors, and children should dress appropriately for the weather and bring a change of clothes. Children should also bring lunch and/or several snacks and water. They will likely eat more than you expect.

All programs feature: • Nature-based games • Exploring of woods & streams • Arts and Crafts• Activities custom tailored Program goals:
• Self-confidence • Awareness • Independence • Intuition • Empathy

Brenda's Art in Nature ADVENTURES for Children

Brenda's  Art in Nature Adventures for Children offers 2 new and exciting classes, where children will create works of art that use nature as a bridge to the art-making process.

Your "budding artist" will learn symmetry from butterflies and leaves; pattern and texture from homemade clay, rhythm and repetition from trees and animal tracks; and explore elements of design such as color, shape and line -- all from nature!

Paint, Explore, and Pretend! Mommy and Me (daddies, grandparents, and nannies welcome too!) program is a fun small group outdoor setting for children and their caregivers in which children develop a love of learning through spontaneous learning experiences as well as organized activities. This combination is essential to future success in learning environments and life in general.

This class provides a great foundation for transitioning to other learning environments.

Each month is a different topic. Each class explores a different theme through hands-on activities, stories, crafts, encounters with our resident animals as appropriate to topic, and outdoor discovery.

All activities are designed to enhance social/emotional, language/ literacy, cognitive, and motor skill development through exciting creative art, music, movement, and play and science experiences.
