Thanksgiving/Christmas Traditions...

Heading into the Holidays this year has been very difficult indeed. The grieving proccess is never ending but trying to be brave as I know Frank would want me to, My heart goes out to others this year that have had a loss.  Putting up decorations, shopping...remembering....What Frank and I built togeather as a family is so strong, traditions are so important to him, passing down memories and I hope the kids will remember always. He loved all the cooking and buying the perfect present for the kids and for me. It does get harder as they grow up but he always put them first. It doesn't seem right that he is not here with us. (but I know in spirit he is around) last year we spent Thansgiving to my Moms house and visited with family. Over the hills of Ocala and through the Pine woods of Florida we headed to Georgia!  This year we went and spent the day with my daughters husbands (yes husband! she got married in  October!) spent this Christmas with family and friends and looking forward to next year.  He is in my heart always....

What is April in Numerology?

I love to read Glynis McCants numerology reports for each month. This month has been expecially hard. My husband passed away last year April 4,2013. We are missing him terribly as a father and a husband, friend.
Finding wisdom and ways of caring on is important and becoming one again.

What is April in Numerology?

April breaks down to the Number 4, and the 4 Energy urges you to expand your knowledge. You will find yourself wanting to learn. If things are going on in your life that you don't fully understand, it is time to pick up a book or take a class; do something to develop your mind.

Nature is especially important for your well being in the month of 4. Make an effort to get outside-Don't have time for a jog? Experts advise investing 10 minutes to take a walk-even just around the block-- to enjoy the soothing effect of flowers, plants and trees. It makes you feel so much better. Tax time is here, and that means extra work and concern for many of us, so take advantage of the healing 10 minute "mental break" by walking when you are stressed out or frustrated. And by the way, once you are in the habit, consider keeping it going for the rest of the year and beyond!

It is a good time to review your financial situation as well. Is there a small, safe investment you can make? If you have a little bit of extra money, this month is a good time to turn it into even more. If you are considering doing business with someone in the month of 4, this is the time to sign a business deal. Just be sure to read the fine print, so you know exactly what you are getting into.

The 4 Energy promotes speaking the truth, and you may find yourself speaking your mind more than is usual for you. That is all well and good, but you must be careful not to be too blunt. Say what you need to say, but be careful how you say it. Also, if you have nothing nice to say, it really is best to bite your tongue in this month of 4.

Since you need to choose your words carefully this month, if you do have something urgent to say when communicating with someone, I suggest that you write it all down, or send it in an email. Once it is in writing there is less chance of misinterpretation. It also gives the reader a chance to review what it is you want from them and that will help to avoid future conflict.

The month of 4 is a wonderful Month to work on being both mentally and physically fit, so you are ready for whatever else comes your way this year!

Fairy House Painting Party

I had everthing set up for them when they arrived!

A beautiful day and no school!  Well what to do? My friend Rosa called me and asked me to do a fairy house painting party for her daughter as a surprise with all her friends!  We had a great time!

adding flowers was the next touch.  I used Ailenes tacky glue to help them hold on with out burned fingers from using the hot glue gun.  worked out great.
they were so excited when they drove up to see it all ready for them.  they all picked a house and when we got the paint out lots of discussion on the right color : ) and I think, picking the colors was the hardest part, they had so much fun creating the perfect house.

The parents helped the girls and got into their own creation mode. a great bonding experience for the girls.

A Walk

It's the middle of November! Thanksgiving next week???!!! Where did the summer go???  Someone told me only 5 more Tuesday's till Christmas!  I'm just not ready....

I'm sorry I have not shared much with you lately but this grief journey is one that is lonely and a must do for all of us one day unfortunately, Since my husband of 26 yrs passed away in April of this year from complications with cancer, it seems like I have been living in "just keep going mode"!

But taking time to heal and believe in the future with out him by my side is very difficult at times. I'm so grateful and happy for my children, family and friends that are keeping me focused on the here and now and the beauty all around us everyday. I have been keeping up with my photo journal and art work and will be posting more on my site.

thank you to my followers to on here and on facebook.

When I have camera in hand out on a walk I'm drawn to the Art in nature and it has always been a great stress reliever for me.  I can chase butterflies and focus on the here and now, its a active meditation, everything else falls away and I just let go of the worries... So a walk at the beach, or just around the corner is really good for me!

Walking is good and with the weather here in South Florida it's perfect time of the year, even in the rain its an adventure! I have felt a few little breaths of cool breezes!

I went for a walk at a local park here called Riverbend, down the winding paths, I thought about how Frank and I would take a walk in the evening over here; it is so peaceful, we would walk hand in hand as we often did and talk about the days ahead.  I really miss him on days like today... a little cloudy and wanting to share the day with him.

With camera in hand I walked among huge beautiful and slightly haunting Cypress trees along the board walk.  I spotted a few leaves starting to change color and loved the look of this one curled and the light hitting it just right...  They just get me in the mood for the winter in the coming months and the Holidays... I use to look forward to them but this year will be so sad and weird and different but a necessary journey to take.

the earth rests in the winter and I think I will take it's cue and settle in too.

Art always helps me stay connected to my feelings and I know Frank would want me to keep it up.  He loved to look at my drawings and moon collages when I was creating beside him in the hospital.  I've been keeping notebooks full of ideas for some art classes, so I'll be curling up this winter, going into my den and awaken a new life in the spring!

Manifesting Moon Magic!
I hope you awaken your life naturally and Live your passion Artfully!

blessings to you and yours

A Little Butterfly Told Me...Be a kid make a daisy crown.

Art in Nature classes!
How I love spring, and yes, little wild Daises as well.

For me they are a symbol of kids and my childhood.

Kids need to be able to pick, smell, and gather it up to feel it in their bones/  A real connection with nature happens from touching, feeling and getting your hands dirty in nature.

when Nature is something you are not able to touch and smell and yes, play in, it becomes nature in a box. Just another form of television.

Well I hope nobody is going tell you, “Please don't pick the daisies”.

So go out there pick some daisies and make Daisy crowns.
