Inspiration

Nature Photos/Quotes

No matter where you live, there are unique things to see and places to visit.
With our busy lives we often fail to take notice of many of the beautiful things that we daily wander past.
It is so easy to get caught up in the pace of the world that we just
don't take the time to see the beauty all around us.

This page is my attempt to capture some of those things and nature places and share with you.

So please, enjoy the pictures, the poems and quotes, and engage your imagination and curiosity.
I hope you enjoy and feel free to follow along and we'll explore a very small part of this wonderful earth together. I welcome your thoughts and comments and bless you on your path.

my Art in Nature PHOTOGRAPHY

My camera as an extension of not only my eyes but also of my heart.
As my love affair with Mother Earth deepens, the more sacred these intimate moments in nature become.

Happy first day of Spring!!!

“The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.”
-Therese of Lisieux

I love these little flowers,
they come out every spring here in south Florida!

Do you feel that stirring inside you???
the one that feels slightly dangerous,
that stirring inside you is worth paying attention to. That stirring inside you is the key to your passionate life.
Let it out. Honor it. Howl. Screech.

“Finally comes the time of withdrawal, the hidden time.
It is as though the world sleeps under a gray cloak. Everything is still and silent.
It is as though the world sleeps under a gray veil. . .
Life has moved to the center, to its hidden darkness.
Bulbs rest, roots sleep, trees go dormant. Stillness settles over the world.”
— Patricia Monaghan, “Winter”

We had a great time at The Theater of the Sea!

I grew up watching Flipper and this was a dream come true for me!  We had a mom and son play with us and it looked like they were not ready for us to go.  I know I could have stayed all day!  Amazing personalities!

I hope you can make time spend in nature to meditate or journal,
you can find a perfect place for being at peace to hear yourself and just Be.

By Spending 20 min. barefoot
CONNECT TO THE EARTH AND FEEL BETTER!

Just as the sun gives us warmth and vitamin D, the Earth underfoot gives us food and water, a surface to walk, sit, stand, play, and build on, and something you never, ever thought about—an eternal, natural, and gentle energy. Think of it perhaps as vitamin G—G for ground. What does that mean to you? Maybe the difference between feeling good and not so good, of having little or a lot of energy, or sleeping well or not so well.  You can’t see the Earth’s energy but some people can feel it as a warm, tingling, and pleasant sensation when they are out walking barefoot along the water’s edge at the beach or on a stretch of dew-moistened grass. click here to visit Earthing official website

Spider Web
"Tug on anything at all, and you'll find it connected to everything else in the universe" - John Muir

Today as I was walking around the front yard I heard the Cardinals singing. I saw the flashes of bright red and was hoping to get a photo of him. He was watching out for his mate while she was getting something to eat out of the birdfeeder.  They took turns hopping to the ground and finding a higher perch to watch out for preditors.  I know they have a nest around here somewhere.  He keeps trying to get my attention.
I was trying to take a picture of a him when and found this wonderful spider web dripping with the morning dew!  I think it is beautiful!

Just a quick note of thanks for all of your lovely and supportive comments for my photo postings. I can't begin to tell you how much your kind words mean to me. Thank you for brightening my day with your kindness! XOXO

The peaceful feeling of nature and horses always brings me happiness.  I loved laying out in the grass to get this photo!  I had a beautiful early morning horseback riding and enjoying the fellowship of  a friend.

A friend told me they had an eagle nest on their property but she thought they had left the nest.  She knew I would be interested so we walked out in the field and found the nest and walked around the base of the tree and looking up the nest was huge!...all along the base we found evidence of leftover meals, skulls of fish and maybe racoons and opposums too,
so they were eating very well!
I was really disapointed they were not there, I wanted to see them in the wild, and just then out of the bright blue sky 2 of the immature eagles were flying towards us!!!
Its was so awe inspiring to watch them, wings out streatched gracefully landing back home in their nest! As we stood there and watched they looked around for a while and then they took off, banked and circled around us!
I was able to photograph them taking flight and flying in the air.
(I need a better long distance lens!)  This is the only one that really turned out very well but It was amazing and a special treat.
So excited to see them in the wild!

The Bald Eagle has a lot to celebrate this July 4th.

One of our eagles on the back property!
 there are 2!
There numbers are increasing throughout the US and it was removed from the Endangered Species List a few years back.
Florida is the 2nd largest state to host the Bald Eagle.

Just Feeling Beachy

I love the view of the beach when walking down the board walk
to the beach!  the anticipation of getting my feet in the sand and running to the surf!  just love it!

I love listening to the shells in the surf...
so clear today can see all the little flashes of fish!

I am usually looking for rocks to paint...
I wonder what this one will be???
Any suggestions from y'all????????
