Stepping outside today I heard a loud chirping song...you know the one... just like in Disney's Pocahontas's where the hummingbird is fussing at her about something....I am so excited to see that I have hummingbirds flying around my fire bush sipping the nectar and disappearing into my secret garden...(I think there might be a nest over there...) They are one of my favorite birds...so looking them up in my animal totem book they represent tireless joy and the nectar of life...(animal speak, Ted Andrews) They have the ability to move its wings in the shape of the figure 8 pattern- a symbol for infinity and links to past and future...laws of cause and effects. I have been trying to learn more about herbal healing and have used colors and scents and this is something the hummingbird can teach. Hopefully I can draw on this and learn to create for healing...the hummingbird is a symbol for accomplishing that which seems impossible. It will teach you how to find the miracle of joyful living from your own life circumstances... Thinking on this little fast flyer darting in and out around me I do appreciate and give gratitude for all I have and will have this new year of 2009 and I go with grace and ease.

Hello and Merry Christmas!

What a year this has been! With elections, the economy and environmental issues I hope we can become more grounded and with optimism begin our new year. The weather has turned cool here in South Florida and our Christmas tree is up and decorated with all the ornaments or should I say memories. Because as we pull out the little gems, my kids tell the stories behind each one and who it is from or when we got one to remember someone or something special that happened. It is always so fun to see their eyes light up and start ribbing each other over the past pictures (I have one for every year…) My Son has the lights on as soon as it gets dark and my daughter is putting presents under the tree. But the real fun is enjoying our time together and treasuring the little traditions that make our holiday special. What is your family tradition that you have passed on?

My Journey…

One of my goals this past year was to become a life coach. I have been looking into it for years and talking to others that are life coaches. I found out coaching is quickly becoming one of the leading tools that successful people use to live extraordinary lives.
Well… I was able to complete my courses and made an action plan for the change I want to happen in my life. I want to umbrella all of the metaphysical practices I do from Reiki, tarot, astrological birth charts and use my art, writings and photography as a tool to offer inspiration and insight. My commitment is to help others transform and gain more balance, joy, intimacy, energy, financial abundance, focus and action in every area of their life.

ahh school has started here in South Florida and my little one is in high school this year! where does the time go...???

The start of the new school year has always been an exciting time for me...new notebooks, freshly sharpened pencils,(and yes I love the smell of a new box of crayons...I miss buying those for my kids.) All the excitement of new adventures and making new friends.
I am very excited to be working on some new art work for my art studio and will be posting some pictures soon (getting ready for the holiday gift giving season) I hope you support your local artists!
